Mark began his coaching career by assisting John Smith and Oklahoma State University in continuing on with it's dynasty. During his time at OSU, he helped coach several All-Americans and National Champions, and guided the OSU team to it's 31st National Championship. He then moved back home to California to help take the UC Davis program from near extinction to a top 25 team in the country. Within 3 years, UC Davis saw it's first ever All-American, National Champion, and NCAA Outstanding Wrestler.
Mark is also the founder of West Coast Wrestling Camps, which has sold out every year since it's inception in 2005.
Mark is currently pursuing a career in mixed martial arts, along with coaching part-time at Cal State Fullerton. He now resides in Southern California with his wife, Kristi, and their four children, Alexa (9), Trent (8), Erynn (4), and Elyse (2). When he is not on the mat, Mark enjoys relaxing with friends, family, and eating his mom's home cooking.
Travis Lee
Lee is Cornell University's all-time winningest wrestler with a 143-13 career overall record, and was inducted into the EIWA Hall of Fame in 2009. He won the NCAA title at 125 pounds in 2003 and at 133 pounds in 2005. Lee became Cornell's first four-time All-American and was a former EIWA champion.
A 2005 Cornell graduate with a degree in biological and environmental engineering. Lee also earned a masters degree in engineering and has relocated here on the West Coast to pursue his dreams closer to home.
